The sad reality is that nothing will change. Maduro has the military, and the opposition only has Twitter likes. We saw this in 2019 and 2024. The internet hype (5 million searches!) makes it feel like the regime is falling, but unless the army flips, he isn't going anywhere. This is just political theater. The US will impose sanctions, the people will suffer, and the government will stay in power. It’s a tragic cycle

Here comes the American war machine again. Every time oil prices go up, suddenly the US cares about 'democracy' in Venezuela. It is suspicious that this 'crisis' is trending exactly when the US economy is struggling. Let Venezuelans solve their own problems. We saw what happened when the US intervened in Iraq and Libya—it turned into a disaster. Hands off Venezuela. We don't need another forever war just to lower gas prices.

The US cannot sit back and watch this happen. Maduro stealing another election in 2026 is a direct threat to democracy in the entire hemisphere. The 5 million people fleeing Venezuela was just the start; if he stays for another term, we are going to see a refugee crisis that breaks the entire region. The White House needs to stop issuing 'strongly worded statements' and actually put severe pressure on his generals to step down. Enough is enough.
